Design by Bev Galeskas
Sizes: Child's sm, med & lg - Women's sm, med & lg - Men's med & lg. (Use women's sizes for larger children.)
Finished length, approx (5", 6", 7" - 8", 9", 10" - 11", 12") (13, 15, 18 -20, 23, 25- 28, 30 cm).
Size will vary some with different yarns, but can be controlled with careful felting and blocking.
Yarn Requirements: Made with a double strand of worsted weight yarn. Choose yarns that will felt easily and firmly. Use 2 strands of the same yarn held together or a strand each of 2 different yarns. A strand of mohair and a strand of wool make a good combination. Always test felt your yarns before beginning.
Yardage: Approximately (100, 125, 150 - 175, 200, 225 - 250, 275) yds (92, 114, 137 - 160, 183, 206 - 229, 251 m) of each yarn, or twice this amount of one yarn used double.
Contrast cuff, approximately (25, 25, 25 - 35, 35, 35 - 45, 45) yds (23, 23, 23 - 32, 32, 32 - 41, 41 m) each of two yarns, or twice this amount of one yarn used double.
Add cuff yardage to total for solid color slippers.
Optional: Fiber Trends Suede soles will add both traction and durability to your slippers. |
