(This machine cannot create large size socks unfortunately) Hello fellow knitters this is a note from Rachel one of the resident product testers and knitting addicts here at Paradise Fibers. I have been playing with the Addi Express for some time now and I must say it is super neat. I'm working on a cute shawl/shrug that is in the Quick and Easy Knitting with Addi Express book. The shrug is made using knitted strips that will then be stitched together. I am the worst person about darning but I decided that for the speed of this little machine a little sewing is not a bad trade off at all. I used Art yarns for my project and so far it is turning out great. Keep on the lookout for a video about my project. I found that once you get the hang of casting on, knitting is a breeze. I use a steady rhythm and keep a sharp eye on the needles to avoid mishaps although when a stitch is naughty it is pretty easy to mend using the instructions in the book. This machine is very compact too. It clamps onto the edge of a table and is smaller than most dinner plates. You can easily clamp it to a heavier TV tray and knit from your favorite chair. It only took me a couple of hours to feel really at home with this machine and I'm sure you will enjoy its versatility as much as I do. Rachel Fiber artist in Paradise! |
