I immediately started spinning my alpaca/tussah blend right out of the bag, as soon as I received it. It needed very little preparation. My enthusiasm for this fiber only increased, after I machine knitted a large and inspected it in daylight. The silk gives the fabric an all over lustrous sheen, transforming the chocolate alpaca into a metallic brown tweed. As a designer, I highly recommend it for the most fashion forward garments and accessories. However, please save me some, LOL!

I bought this just because I thought it was so lovely. It spins up very nicely and I used it to spin a thin 2 ply yarn that knitted up very nicely into a lace shawl. I have received countless compliments and even won 1st place at SAFF (Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair) in Asheville, NC this past October. You can't go wrong with this roving!!!!!!
