I honestly prefer this niddy noddy over the fancier ones I've seen - it does the job and does it well. I left mine unfinished, though I've seen them take finish beautifully. I like that it is simple and not too slickly finished - the yarn doesn't slide right off the niddy noddy like I've had happen with others.
