The Best Cotton Yarn on the Planet |

I used this yarn in a garland I made for the christmas tree. This yarn knotted well and had a wonderful sheen like new spun silk. The garland, being five years old, still contains a wonderful sheen and strength expected of cotton yarns.
The feel of the fibre reminds me of silk/cotton blends, which inspired me to knit a shawl with a candle flame motif. Combination of sheen and textured stitches made the garment stunningly beautiful. Every dip and curve caught glimmers of light, making the stitch patterns radiate and come alive.
I have also used this to make vests and scarves with results that turn heads.
This yarn is a luxury I spare no expense in for those special projects. While it is not made of cashmere, I would almost think of this yarn a combination of alpaca and cotton. I could see someone combining a cashmere or alpaca yarn with Butterfly yarn for a project of boutique quality. Working with the yarn is a breeze with the way the yarn is manufactured. I could remove stitches without effort.
On my standard gauge (4.5mm pitch) knitting machine, yarn break tension set on 3, carriage tension set at 8.5, the yarn worked smoothly. The yarn did not catch on the needles. The carriage ran smoothly across the bed and tension set so beautifully.
Knitting on needle size 9 gave way to a wonderful project that was equally as rewarding as the machine.
I cannot say enough about this yarn and cannot find any flaws in workmanship. In fact, I thought this yarn was discontinued a few years ago and gave up searching for it. Stumbling upon it here delighted me and have ordered 20 skeins for four more projects!

Knits up beautifully--especially nice texture, rich color, best cotton yarn I have used.

This is my favorite yarn for knitting baby clothes! I love the color pallet and find myself knitting some wonderfully wacky hats and sweaters.

You will love this yarn. I bought some years ago in Greece and have been searching for it in the States ever since. I'm so glad to find it here. It is beautiful for crochet and gives life to the product. The colors are perfect. I never tired of touching it and I can't wait to find an excuse to buy way too much of it just so I can have the yarn- even if it is years before my busy hands can create something with it.
