Fun hats for "Kids" of all ages. Instructions for both plain knit and felt jester hats. Both made in worsted wt yarn.

Sizes:
Sm (toddler), med (child or sm adult) and lg (adult).
Fits head size up to 19" (21", 23") (48 (56, 58) cm).
Yarn Requirements:
Plain knit hats can be made from any worsted weight yarn that will knit to the gauge given below.
Felt hats require a standard worsted weight wool or wool & mohair blend that will felt easily.
Important: Always test felt your yarn in the colors you will be using.
Yardage required:
2-Color Knit Hat: 250 (270, 300) yds (229 (247, 275) meters) MC and 50 (60, 70) yds (46 (55, 64) meters) of CC.
4-Color Knit Hat: 85 (90, 100) yds (78 (82, 92) meters) each of 3 crown colors and 50 (60, 70) yds (46 (55, 64) meters) of band color.
2-Color Felt Hat: 275 (300, 330) yds (251 (275, 302) meters) MC and 50 (60, 70) yds (46 (55, 64) meters) of CC.
4-Color Felt Hat: 93 (100, 110) yds (85 (92, 101) meters) each of 3 crown colors and 50 (60, 70) yds (46 (55, 64) meters) of band color. |
