For children and adults.  Three sizes, small, medium and large.  Fits head size of up to 20" (21.5", 23"). Pattern by Bev Galeskas.

Yarn Requirements:  Use a light worsted or DK weight yarn that will knit to the gauge given below.  Photographed models are made in a wool and mohair blend.
Beret requires approximately 150 yards of main color and 50 yards of contrast.  Scarf requires about 170 yards.

Knitting Needles: For beret, 16" circular needles in 5 & 7 and a set of double pointed needles in size 7.  A spare circular, in size 5 or smaller, is needed for picking up loops to make the rolled bands.
For scarf, size 10 straight needles.

Gauge: Beret: 20sts = 4" in stockinette stitch with size 7 needles.  Change your needle size as needed to obtain this gauge. 
Scarf:  Approximately 17sts = 4" in in lace pattern on size 10 needles.  This is a loose, stretchy pattern and it is not necessary to get the exact gauge.
