Description   Design by Lily M. Chin To knit or crochet These shawls may be made to any desired size, in any yarn weight. Yarns Used For Models: Lilyﾒs shawls are made in ﾓHelen's Lace", a 50% wool, 50% silk lace weight. Background shawls are made in Heaven, a fine mohair. Both yarns are handpainted from Lorna's Laces Yarns. Yardages, Needle/Hook Size, Gauge and Finished Measurements: For other yarns, choose needle or hook size according to yarn weight. Aim for a very loose tension, using perhaps 4 sizes larger than your yarn may normally call for. Note that we have made various sizes of shawls and you may choose to make yours larger or smaller. Lily's Knit Shawl: Finished size 35" long and 80" wide. 1200 yds of Helen's Lace, size 6 (4 mm) needles, 20 sts = 4" (10 cm). Background Knit Shawl: Finished size 34" long and 78" wide. 975 yards of Heaven, size 8 (5 mm) needles, 16 sts = 4" (10 cm). Lily's Crocheted Shawl: Finished size 42" long and 84" wide. 1700 yards of Helen's Lace, size H (5 mm) hook, 5 shells = 6" (15 cm). Background Crocheted Shawl: Finished size 44" long and 88" wide. 975 yds of Heaven, size J (6 mm) hook, 5 shells = 8" (20 cm). Notions: Stitch markers, rust proof pins or blocking wires. Suggested Naturally Yarns: Dawn (silk/wool laceweight) or Mist (fine mohair)   Related Products...
