Description   Baby bears are quick to knit and fun to felt. Each bear will be an individual and, since personality is developed during felting and finishing, it is suggested that you wait until then to name them. Design by Bev Galeskas Size: Bears made in worsted weight yarn will measure from 7 to 12 inches (18 to 30 cm) tall. Since bears are happy at any size, other weights of yarn may be substituted. Yarn Requirements: Solid color bear: 200 yards (183m) of worsted weight. Pajama Bear: 130 yards (119m) for pajamas and 70 yards (64m) of bear color. Hat: 60 yards (55m). Choose a yarn that will felt easily and firmly. Caution: Bleached white yarns do not felt and many off white wools do not felt well, if at all. Naturally's white Alpine 10 ply is a good choice for a white bear. Needles: US size 10 or 10.5 (6 or 6.5 mm) straight needles for bear; 16" (40cm) circular and a set of double pointed needles for hat. Suggested Naturally yarns: 10ply Naturelle, Tussock or Alpine.   Related Products...
