Description   Create an interesting array of baskets, trays and coasters to express your heartfelt feelings. Finish the top with a band of I-cord or picots to personalize each piece. They knit up quickly on large needles in worsted or bulky weight yarns. Design by Evelyn A. Clark Sizes: Will vary with yarn weight used. Baskets shown measure 5" across widest part and 2" deep (worsted wt) and 7" by 2" (bulky wt). Coasters are the same size as bottom of the basket. The smaller red coasters were made in a lighter weight worsted and measure about 4" across. See details for yarn and needle requirements. Suggested Naturally yarns: Perendale DK, 8, 10 or 14ply Alpine or Tussock. Yarn Requirements: Use any yarn that will felt to a firm fabric. Shown in a bulky weight wool (large red basket), worsted weight, (pink basket, tray and coasters) and a DK weight (small red coasters). Approximate yardage needed: Yardage will vary depending on yarn weight, depth of basket and which edge finish option you choose. Basket: 70 to 90 yards. Tray: 60 to 70 yards. Coasters: 35 to 45 yards. Needles: 16" (40cm) circular needle in size for your yarn weight. Choose a needle size that will give you a loose gauge with your yarn weight. For worsted wt use size 10 or 10.5 (6 or 6.5 mm). For bulky wt use size 11 or 13 (7 or 8 mm).   Related Products...
