Description   Wardrobe options are what you will have with one or more of these vests. Make them in any bulky yarn or combine 2 or more finer yarns to create an interesting fabric. Design by Bev Galeskas Finished chest measurements: 37ﾽ" (40", 43", 45ﾽ", 48"). Hip length vest measures: 21" (21", 21ﾼ", 21ﾽ", 21 3/4"). Waist length vest measures: 17" (17", 17ﾼ", 17ﾽ", 17 3/4"). Yarn Requirements: Use a bulky or chunky yarn that will knit to the gauge given. Hip length vest requires 450 (500, 550, 600, 650) yards. Waist length vest 320 (360, 390, 420, 450) yards. Photographed vests are made in a chunky cotton chenille. Needles: Circular needles, 24" (60cm) or 29" (80cm) for the vest body and a 16" (40 cm) for the armhole border. Note: Different fibers may require different needle sizes to obtain the same gauge. For cotton chenille we used a US size 7 (4.5mm). A wool or mohair may require a size 9 (5.mm) or 10 (6.0mm). Change needle size as needed to obtain the correct gauge in your yarn choice. Gauge: 14 stitches and 24 rows = 4" (10 cm) in pattern stitch.
