Description   Fast and easy to knit, these small felt purses will add pizzazz to any outfit. Novelty yarn is knit and felted along with the wool to create a colorful textured fabric. Knit in double strand 8ply (DK) weight yarn. Design by Leigh Radford Finished sizes: These are approximate measurements, as size will vary with the amount of felting and yarn choice. Small purse: 6" (15cm) wide by 7" (18cm) deep. Large purse: 8" (20cm) wide by 9" (23cm) deep. Straps will measure from 34" to 50" (86 to 127 cm), depending on length knit. Yarn Requirements: Main Yarn: 275 (425) yards (251 (388) meters) of DK or light worsted weight wool that will felt quickly and easily. Yarn is used double throughout. Novelty yarn: Approximately 35 (40) yds (32 (37) meters), if used single strand, or 70 (80) yds (64 (73) meters) if used double. This yarn is not intended to felt, instead it is held in with the felted wool. Choose a yarn with a fine core (binder thread) so that it will not cause a large change in the felted gauge of the wool.
