Description   Classic style jacket for boys and girls with turned back cuffs for growing room. Design by Bev Galeskas To fit a child of approximately 2 (4, 6) years of age. Finished chest measurement: 26.5" (29", 32"). Finished length: 15" (17", 19"). Finished size will vary depending on the amount of felting. To get the desired size, it is very important to follow felting instructions carefully. Yarn Requirements: DK or light worsted weight wool, approximately 1000 (1250, 1500) yards of main color and 125 (150, 175) yards of contrast. Less blocking will be needed if you choose a plied yarn, as opposed to a singles. All yarns react to felting differently. See below for instructions on checking felted gauge. Other supplies: cotton thread for basting; coilless pins or pieces of contrasting thread for row markers; 3 metal clasps. Needles: 16" & 24" (40 & 60 cm) circular needle size 10.5 (6.5 mm) and a 24" (60 cm) or longer circular size 10 (6 mm) for border. You will also need a spare circular needle in a smaller size for picking up the back loops of armhole borders.
