Description   Cute booties in 3 infant sizes make up quickly. Design by Bev Galeskas Sizes: Infant's small, medium and large. To fit approximately 0-3 (3-6, 6-9) months. Exact finished size will vary some with different yarns and the amount of felting. Yarn Requirements: Choose a light worsted or DK weight wool or alpaca that will felt easily. A pair of booties requires 70 (85, 95) yds (64 (78, 87) meters) of main color and 35 (40, 45) yds (32 (37, 41) meters) of contrast for ears and cuff. 10 yds of smooth, colorfast waste cotton (sport or worsted weight). Small amounts of embroidery floss for nose and eyes. Bunny tails require an extra 20 yds (18m). For puppy tongues, about 1 yd (1m) of a red sport wool that will felt. Note: Always test felt a sample of your yarn to be sure of the results. If contrast is used for ears, it should be the same type of yarn as the main color. If it is used only for the cuff, which is knit after felting, any type of worsted weight yarn may be used. Needles: US size 8 (5.0 mm) and 10 (6.0 mm) straight and a set of double pointed needles in size 5 (3.75mm). Gauge: Approximately 15 sts to 4" (10cm) before felting.
