Description   A field of flowers is bordered by waves of old shale on this Shetland style, square lace shawl or throw. Designed for DK, fingering and lace weight yarns, using one or multiple colors Design by Evelyn A. Clark Blocked Size: In DK weight yarn: approximately 60" (152cm) square. In fingering or lace weight: 47" (119cm) square worked on size 5 (3.75mm) needles or 57" (145cm) square worked on size 6 (4mm) needles. Yarn & Needles Used: For DK wt throw or shawl: 520 yds (475m) each of 4 colors of 8 ply (DK wt) wool in natural (A), very lt brown (B), lt brown (C), brown (D). Size 9 (5mm) 29" or 32" (80cm) circular needles. Double pointed needles in the same size and a size H (5mm) crochet hook. For fingering or lace wt shawl: 1200 yds (1097m) if worked on size 5 (3.75mm) needles, 1500 yds (1371m) if worked on size 6 (4mm) needles. Size 5 or 6 (3.75 or 4 mm) 24" (or longer) circular needles. Double pointed needles in the same size and a size F (3.74mm) crochet hook.
