Description   A border of stars surrounds a center of slanting stripes on these square, garter stitch lace pieces. Edges may be left plain, finished with fringe or with corner tassels. The scarf is designed for lace weight yarn, the throw for worsted weight yarn. A shawl, not pictured, could be made from Shetland, sport or dk weight yarns. Design by Evelyn A. Clark Blocked Size: Scarf (lace weight): 32" square, excluding fringe. Throw (DK or worsted): 60" square. Yarn Requirements & Needle Sizes: Scarf (lace weight): 930 yds with fringe or 620 yds without fringe. Size 7 (4.5mm) needles. Throw (DK weight / with tassels): 1350 yds. Size 10 (6mm) needles. Shown in 8 ply New Zealand wool.
