This Drum Carder from Louet is nothing short of amazing. The blending action is smooth and the Drum Carder is very well built and is a huge step up from Fiber Handcarders. You can create custom microblends in small batches like you see on our website with ease and enjoy fiber blends completely unique and customized just the way you like them. This carder is a little more expensive than the Ashford we sell but has longer tines and larger drum than the Ashford and therefore it's better suited for larger jobs.

A quick review for fiber newbies: Drum Carders and Handcarders straighten the fibers so they are aligned for easier spinning. Also while straightening the fiber blending can be done with various colors and fiber types creating fun and interesting fiber blends. You can blend Superwash merino wool Blending Nylon together for example and create your own magical blend of sock roving!
