I love this yarn! Due to the wool content, it does have a different feel than Misti's 100% alpaca, but that's not a bad thing! This yarn is incredibly smooth, and feels wonderful to knit. The bulky size means it knits up quickly. I've been knitting cabled earwarmers, and easily get an adult sized band out of a skein. You'd probably need just over one for a hat. Enjoy!
