Hi, I bought this hat kit in Northern Lights colors and the yarn is not like the picture shown texture wise. It is not a bumpy yarn at all. It is a nice worsted weight yarn that looks and feels great. The color is like the picture and the hat should work up beautifully. I wish you guys had all these hats in a crochet pattern as well. I will be ordering more of these for sure. Very happy with purchase.
