These are beautiful fibers. They came well packaged and relatively quickly. Shipping seemed a little high for such a light weight item.

I have not yet spun my Targhee Roving but the shipping time was awesome! The website is very easy to navigate. Hopefully I'll get the roving spun soon.

I love spinning tarchee and the Mountain Colors Handpainted targhee is one of my favorites. I though it was a good use for my Christmas money, don't you?

Sproingy fun |

At first glance, I expected this fiber to be quite difficult to spin. But, although it did have several nepps, no predrafting was necessary.
The fiber is very springy. Under tension on my wheel, I had what looked like a light fingering weight 3-ply. But after washing/finishing--heavy sport weight. The skein stretches and bounces back a good 2-4 inches...practically like a rubber band.
I spun the Firestorm colorway and, yeah, somebody at Mountain Colors has a loose definition as to what fire looks like. Nonetheless, the color is GORGEOUS: super saturated colors that didn't bleed at all when I washed/finished the skein and an eye catching contrast between the dark, jewel-tones and the clear, bright orange.
