This yarn is wonderful and a great value. Alpaca weighs less than wool for the same warmth meaning finished pieces are more wearable. This yarn knits up quickly. There is slight variation in thickness between colors. It's very soft and lofty, and snuggly enough to wear next to your skin. The color choices are great. Most onscreen pics are quite accurate. One skein will make a lovely scarf, or maybe a hat, depending on size and pattern. The melanges have a basically solid color as the main body, but have tiny amounts of complementary colors spun throughout. The overall effect is a solid color, but one that changes depending on how you view it. The moulinettes knit up nicely. The two colors work together to provide an interesting visual texture: you don't need to use a fancy stitch for these colors to look great. The softest of all the colors are the naturals. While the man-made colors feel like squishy velvet, I think the natural colors feel like the softest clouds imaginable.
