Love this wheel! |

I bought this wheel from Paradise Fibers close to a year ago, and love it. The tensioning variations offer a lot of variety, although the double drive is what I use the majority of the time. The wheel is beautiful in regards to design and wood. I have antique wheels and wanted one that would blend in with them. I used the Ashford wax finish and am well pleased with it. It gives enough luster to show off the woodgrain without looking at all thick or built-up. This wheel is single treadle, which goes against the current trend, but I find much more comfortable to use than a double treadle. I like having one leg stationary to support my body position instead of having both feet busy treadling rather than one acting as a stabilizer...just a personal preference. Single treadle also allows more variation in body position relative to the wheel...more ways to get comfortable! The Elizabeth has proven itself to be a comfortable sturdy wheel that is also a gorgeous addition to the home!
