When I started spinning, I saw the prices of the other wheels and was so disappointed. There was no way I could afford one of those. Then I found this one! I love it! It has been moved around so many times and has held up like a trooper. It spins so easily and was so easy to set up the first time. I highly recommend this wheel to anyone and everyone.

You CAN spin frogs hair on Babes. Lost lazy Kate? Get a dowel at a craft store. ONLY drawback is frame slips, if you move it around a lot. Spin a few drafts to check alignment, put a small screw where the upright meets the base & the bobbin. Takes maybe 10 minutes. You can toss this wheel in the cargo area or on the roof of a car & not worry about the weather. (take off the maiden head, belt & treadle so they don't fall off). I got mine 8/07, only oiled it maybe 10 times. After a LOT of use, I needed to fix the holes for the treadle. They wear. I cut the front part out, turned it, using 2 fittings for PVC, drilled holes & screwed them in. (5- 10 minutes using PVC cutter). A hack saw blade works. Drive band material is cheap & easy to make new band.. You can customize it to fit your decor w/ paint for plastic . Even with the corrections, this wheel is a SOLID 5!! I can't brag enough! For a reasonably priced starter wheel buy this one! .
