With step-by-step instructions, you’ll learn the “Curvy”, “Bulgy”, and Patchy” techniques.
But that’s not all. Colleen goes on to show you to many Freeform projects, provide solutions to the most common “situations” you’re likely to encounter, and encourage you to use other skills such as crochet, sewing, felting, or embroidery to further enhance your Freeform fabric design.
Instructor Biography
Colleen Davis teaches workshops and classes in yarn stores and conferences across the country. She has also been president of the North Coast Knitters of San Diego for almost 10 years. In this capacity Colleen has inspired and motivated knitters to push themselves and explore many different techniques and designs. Freeform knitting is her favorite type of knitting because it provides her with design options, far beyond what is possible with conventional knitting.
Colleen loves to use countless yarns and colors in her designs…. to experiment with geometric shapes in an improvisational or freeform style. She is fearless in her use of imaginative designs and unusual color combinations. She also loves to add fabric, crochet and felted pieces in her finished designs.
Colleens designs have been published in knitting magazines and she has developed a line of patterns that are currently sold in yarns stores, conventions and on the internet.
Her mission is to inspire and motivate other knitters to be adventurous and creative.
Director Biography
David Graves, co-owner of Graves Film and Tape, directs commercials, infomercials, documentaries, animations and instructional videos. In an ongoing association with San Diego State University, he has directed numerous high quality educational videos and presentations.
Mr. Graves received his degree in television production from the University of Arizona and has since won dozens of television awards and accolades for broadcast excellence. He is now turning his talents toward creating a series of high quality, easy to understand instructional DVD's for Craft and Fiber Arts enthusiasts.
