Description   Mirasol Childrens Collection Book 4 by Jane Ellison This year saw the grand opening of the Mirasol Centre which happened because of all of the support the project received over the last year.  The children and their parents as well as other guests celebrated the opening with balloons, cakes, and special gifts. It was with this very celebration in mind that I designed this collection of knits for people the same age as those who are benefiting from the project in the Peruvian Highlands.  The bright colors of the yarns I used evoke those that are central to Andean culture and give the garments the fun feel that any children wearing them will have. The patterns are organized into three categories for different ages: 1-6 year olds, 2-10 year olds, and 10-18 year olds.  There is an adorable heart fairisle dress for little ladies, a smart yet comfortable v-neck cardigan for the cheeky chap, in addition to a flattering shrug for older girls. As always my patterns are simple and easy to knit so they are perfect for beginners, or perhaps members of a younger generation who may chose to knit their very first garment from this collection!
