I got my first Addi Natura when I was "refining" a pattern and using a different yarn and was at that point where a 10.5 was too tight and an 11 too loose. I have a full set of Clover Bamboo Circular needles and they have always been more than adequate and I prefer knitting with Bamboo. I went to this needle because Addi made a 10.75 and I figured I could count on the quality, particularly of the cable and join.
The feel and polish on this bamboo is an order of magnitude different. I was trying to explain to my husband the difference in the "feel" of these needles on a good yarn. I told him that it was like the feel/texture/experience of biting into the center of a top quality chocolate truffle. He suggested the word "sensual," and that is a pretty good descriptor. It makes the experience of the knitting, not just the goal, that much more enjoyable.
So, I finally gave in and as a "reward" to myself for a difficult task completed, ordered a whole set!

Thinking of saving a few dollars and buying Clovers? Don't! Working with KidSilk Haze and knitting Barbara Walker's Vine Lace Pattern, I did a comparison between Addis and Clovers; believe me, there's NO comparison. Addis are super-smooth, and the metal join prevents delicate lace-weight yarns from sticking or pulling. Addi tips are sharp enough to pick up tiny stitches, but not too sharp - Clovers are dull.

These are, by far, my favorite needles. I just wish you stocked the 20" length circulars and the double poiints.
