The Mountain Top is Combed top in typical Roving form which is perfect for spinning.
Sweet Grass Wool offers a premium Combed Top from Targhee Sheep raised in the Montana-Wyoming area. Combed Top has been through a French comb which combs the fibers, leaving them parallel. This makes a worsted spun yarn-the strongest yarn.
Our combed top has been through a thorough scouring process, leaving the natural bright, white wool as clean as possible. The Wool is approximately 60ct. This is one of our most treasured new fibers here at the shop.
