Our popular well-balanced top-whorl drop spindles are designed to give you the longest possible spinning time. The notched whorls make them easy to spin with, and Jonathan's hand-made hooks will keep your yarn securely in place with no extra wraps! Our four convenient sizes — Featherweight, Mini, Midi & Maxi — offer you the widest range possible in size and function. Whether you're spinning the finest laceweight or durable rug yarns, we have spindles that will be just right for your projects!

Jonathan hand turns these spindles in a variety of native and exotic hardwoods. Sheila's favorites include bubinga, canarywood, red cedar, tulipwood, and purpleheart (of course) — and we have many more to choose from! We also offer spindle whorls turned from such rare and exotic woods as rosewoods, black and white ebony, black palm or Karelian birch, in limited production. Our selection varies as woods are available to us, which means not all woods are in stock at all times. Let us know if you are looking for a particular wood — we'll add you to our Spindle Wish List.

Our Midis are the most popular in size, and we make these in the widest range of beautiful and colorful woods. Spinners love Tulipwood, Zebrawood, Bloodwood and Birds Eye Maple; others love the rare woods like Cocobolo, Black Palm, and Cochin Rosewood. Please ask what is in stock when you order!
